since november in colorado can be the most misleading of months with 65-degree-weather and constant sunshine, i figured we should just embrace it and celebrate it with similarly sunny photos… even if they’re from the summer.
stewart + mariah’s engagement session was one of my favorites from this past summer! we escaped to hobble creek canyon (one of my new favorite locations!) to capture the green mountain beauty and these two’s sweet love.
the evening was filled with laughter, love, + sweet nothings (on their end, of course; i just got to be the observer).

making that transition from summer to fall to winter is killlller (at least in my book it is!)
but fortunately, i have the best job in the world (haven’t you heard?!) that gives me a chance to celebrate the beauty in every season. travis + jessica took advantage of the late fall utah beauty by picking the most stunning location down in mona.
these two were a pleasure to photograph. i met jessica in the public health program in our undergrads at BYU, and after a plane-long study session on the way home from washington, d.c. (and a consequential aced exam), i knew that we were destined to be friends. she’s a brilliant, incredibly driven individual that will undoubtedly make a difference in the public health world but also in the world of her travis. it’s pretty clear after about two seconds with these guys that travis just adores her.
the whole session was full of laughs and nature walks and that gorgeous, late-afternoon sunshine.
i can’t wait for their wedding next month!

i got to sneak into modefi salon in littleton last week to photograph my trusty hairdresser and his staff.
not only is richard the most talented hairstylist around, he’s built a gorgeous salon with the coolest original artwork. see that light made of scissors? richard designed and built that. he also put together those sweet, chunky mirrors, tiled the ceiling, and completed the room with original artwork by stanley donwood {a.k.a. radiohead’s poster designer!!!}.
richard’s also a total riot and may or may not have a really cool background as a member of a über famous rock band…
