karson is one of those people that you just can’t help but love.

she is sweet and smart and stylish and so full of life.

over the summer, i headed up to gorgeous boulder, colorado to capture some last images of the lovely karson before she headed out for her lds mission in lyon, france. i love shooting lds missionary portraits because there’s a certain excitement about them that really very few other sessions offer. their energy is almost tangible– their excitement and anticipation and nerves. i love catching a glimpse into their experience and hearing what they expect, what they’re looking forward to, what they’re worried about, etc.

but mostly, i just love photographing these beautiful individuals and seeing their desire to sacrifice so much to serve their God. and with karson, there was really no exception! i love this girl’s smile, her optimism, + her kindness. and her patience! we may or may not have gotten eaten alive by mosquitos to grab that last shot in the patch of flowers. seriously though, i think i had bites covering my legs for weeks…

really, though. isn’t she beautiful? france sure is lucky to have such an exceptionally lovely missionary! and i hear she’s been doing really great things whilst serving the people of france.
